How much can I earn?
Earning potential is unlimited. If you have traffic from people who need domains, hosting or SSL certificates then telling them about the Namecheap offers will get you sales and commissions.

What technical skills do I need to become an Affiliate?
You should know enough HTML to add a link or embed a script on your web pages.
Simply grab a banner or text link and place on your website and start earning commissions as your traffic buys from Namecheap.

If you already use one of the three platforms - Impact Radius, Commission Junction or ShareaSale - we suggest using that one for marketing our products as the platforms combine your sales from all vendors you are doing affiliate sales for when working out your payout limits.
We also recommend using only one platform to promote Namecheap for the same reason. Splitting sales across multiple platforms just makes it longer to reach the minimum commission total for payout. Plus using more than one affiliate code can cause confusion - the codes get overwritten and your tracking efforts get muddled.
Your choice of platform may also depend on the payment options they offer and to what countries they offer payment. Please do some research so you are being the most effective for your efforts.
What are the payment options and minimum payout limits?
All three platforms we use have different payment options and minimum payout amounts.
$50 USD seems to be a common number - all the other numbers can be found in this article.
How do I monitor my commissions?
Each of the affiliate platforms we use have control panels to monitor everything.
All commission related details (eg., text link, banner CTR, conversions etc.) will all be available there.
What if my referral doesn't show up in reporting?
We will work with you to resolve this as quickly as possible.
Shoot an email at affiliates@namecheap.com with the following information: Affiliate program used, your affiliate id and your Order ID, as well as Date of Sale.
What is your cookie duration?
Our affiliate program uses cookies to track sales generated by your affiliate link. In order for our system to track this information properly, the following conditions should be met:
Cookies must be enabled in the browser's settings before your referral follows the link.
Cookies must not be cleared before a purchase is made by your referral.
Your referral should use the same browser to sign up for a Namecheap account and to make a purchase.
Our tracking cookie will remain valid for 30 days.
Do coupon codes work with affiliates?
Yes, you can share our affiliate coupon codes and get commission when your referrals use them.
Our affiliate coupon codes are available through the affiliate platforms’ (Impact Radius, Commission Junction, ShareASale) interfaces and are updated on a monthly basis.
Please keep in mind that we add commissions only if a coupon code was provided through our Affiliate program. We do not provide commissions for coupons that were received by other means.
Do you provide custom coupon codes?
We don’t provide custom coupon codes at the moment. There are numerous coupon banners available through our platforms.
What happens if my referral returns the product?
In the event that your referral gets a refund for the order, or if the order was canceled for any reason or was fraudulent, your commission amount for that particular transaction will be removed.
Do I get paid if I buy any Namecheap products for myself?
No, commissions are paid only for referring new customers.
You should also have any clients you are referring to buy Namecheap products to purchase the items using their own payment option as opposed to you buying items for them.
Are my earnings taxable?
Yes, you will be issued the relevant taxation paperwork for the payouts you receive from the platform owners themselves.
Can people I refer see my username?
Your Namecheap (or affiliate) username is not reflected in the link or in the referrals' accounts.
Your referrals will be able to see your Affiliate ID number only.
I want to design my own banner with the Namecheap logo. Will it be regarded as a copyright violation?
This is not currently allowed.
You can exclusively use the affiliate banners as provided to you by Namecheap in the affiliate account you have signed up for.
Do you provide banners in other languages?
No, we provide banners in English only at the moment.
I do not reside in the USA, and I would like to promote Namecheap on my non-English website. Are there any restrictions?
There are no restrictions on who can become an affiliate as long as your affiliate activity complies with our Affiliate Program Terms of Service.
You only need to be approved within one of the three affiliate network platforms Namecheap uses. While we do not have creatives in languages other than English, we do monitor the advertising of all affiliates to make sure they maintain our Terms of Service.
