If you have forgotten your username and/or password and cannot access your account, you can restore your login details with
Password Reset.

- Currently, a password can be reset by providing a username, email address, or registered domain name.
There is an option to disable any or all of these options to protect your account.
In case all of the options were disabled, it will not be possible to use the Password reset option, unfortunately. - For security reasons, the passwords that you have already used are restricted in our system and cannot be chosen again.
- We suggest you use a password that contains at least 8 characters with no spaces at the beginning or at the end.
To request a Password Reset email, you will need to specify one of the following details:
- Namecheap account username
- Email address on file
- Any domain name located in the account
Once you have provided us with one of these details, choose Reset Password. You will then receive a message informing you that the Password Reset email was successfully sent to your mailbox:
If the username, email address, or domain name you have provided does not exist in our system, the following error message will appear:
N.B. Normally, such emails will arrive in your mailbox within a few minutes. However, due to some settings configured on the side of your email service provider, the message may be marked as spam.
If you cannot locate the Password Reset email in your inbox and you are sure that your email address is correct, please check the Junk/Spam folders or access your email account on another device.
To continue resetting your account password, open your Password Reset email and click on the corresponding link. The password reset link is valid for 7 days.

Next, you will be redirected to the page where you can specify a new password:
Please enter a new password into the New Password and Confirm Password fields and hit the Change Password button.
For security reasons, the passwords that you have already used are restricted in our system and cannot be chosen again. If you enter a password that has been set previously, you will get an error message:
Client security is very important to us, which is why we suggest you use a password that contains at least 8 characters with no spaces at the beginning, and at the end of the password.
We also recommend you include the following:
a) One uppercase letter (A-Z)
b) One lowercase letter (a-z)
c) One special symbol (including but not limited to #, &, [, \, ^, ¢, §, «», %, etc.)
d) One number (0-9)
Once your password has been updated successfully, you will receive this message:
Please keep in mind that any login credentials are considered sensitive information. We strongly recommend that you should not share the password to your Namecheap account with anyone else.
