You can only transfer your domain if you meet certain requirements. If they’re not met, your domain transfer could fail. Let’s run through them.
When a domain transfer is canceled, an email explaining why will be sent to the domain registrant’s email address:
You might also see a notification for the canceled transfer and the Resubmit Transfer button in your Namecheap account:
Once the issue is resolved, and the domain is ready to transfer, you can submit a new transfer on the Domain - Transfers page.You can find additional instructions in this video guide.
A full refund for the failed transfer is issued to the Namecheap account balance.If you have received credit from your refund, and if your default payment method is a credit card or PayPal, you’ll need to hit Edit Order Details:
Once there, change your payment method to Account Funds and hit Continue to return to the checkout page.
