From time to time, you may want to remove unnecessary SSL certificates, such as expired or canceled SSLs, from your Namecheap account.
Keep in mind:
- Our system removes the expired SSL certificates automatically from the account panel in 30 days after the expiration date;
- It is only possible to remove SSLs with a "Cancelled" or "Revoked" status. If you’d like to remove expired SSL certificates you will need to cancel them first. Please contact our SSL Support Team for assistance with the SSL cancellation.
- Navigate to the "Domain List" of your Namecheap account Dashboard.
- Select the "All Products" option from the drop-down menu over to the right.
- Find the domain for the certificate in question, we’ll use "example.com" here as an example.
- Click the down-facing arrow to expand the list of related services for this domain.
You’ll see your canceled certificate listed among the services for the domain.
- Locate the "Manage" button to the right of the SSL and choose the "Remove" option from the drop-down menu.
That’s it! Now the certificate has been removed from your account panel.
