There are 2 ways to point your domain registered with us to your Hostinger account - you can do it with the help of nameservers, or by using an IP address.
PLEASE NOTE: By default, Hostinger recommends using nameservers. It automatically sets your domain with their IP Address, so you won’t have to make DNS updates if it ever changes.
Pointing a domain using nameservers
1. In your Hostinger account,
find the nameservers in DNS Zone Editor.

Sign in to your
Namecheap account.
3. Go to
Domain List from the left sidebar and click on the
Manage button next to your domain name:
4. Select the Custom DNS option from the drop-down for Nameservers, and enter your Custom nameservers (found in your Hostinger account) into the fields provided.
Once done, make sure you click on the green checkmark to save the changes:
It can take up to
24-48 hours for DNS to fully propagate worldwide.
NOTE: If you had an email service or other DNS records set, you would need to re-configure them with Hostinger.
It is possible to set up necessary records using this option in your Namecheap account, and it is only for domains pointed to our
BasicDNS or
PremiumDNS.

Get the A record that should be set up for your domain. You can find it in
DNS Zone Editor in your Hostinger account.

Sign in to your
Namecheap account.
3. Select
Domain List from the left sidebar and click on the
Manage button next to your domain name:
4. Click on the Advanced DNS tab and find the Host records section. Then click on the Add New Record button:

5. If you want to use a bare domain for your website, e.g.
yourdomain.tld, you can configure the A record found in your Hostinger account.

*This value is just an example. The correct record will be provided in your Hostinger account.6. Click on the
Save All Changes button once done. It usually takes
30 minutes for newly created records to take effect.
NOTE: If you want to use Hostinger servers to receive emails sent to your domain, you need to change your domain's MX record. At Hostinger, you can check the MX record in the
DNS Zone Editor as well.
