Price increase for .COM, .XYZ, and more domains
At Namecheap, we partner with many registries to bring you a wide range of top-level domains. Occasionally, they increase their prices, meaning we need to increase ours too.
What’s changing?
On September 1, 2024, the .com domain will undergo price increases.

If you want to take advantage of the current price tag, renew, register, or transfer your .com domain before September 1, 2024, and .xyz, .monster, .quest, .beauty, .hair, .skin, .makeup, .homes, .autos, .motorcycles, .boats, .yachts, .lat, .lol, .pics, .rent, .college, and .ceo domains before September 2, 2024.
This article does not answer WHY the increase is happening. According to another website it is because the wholesaler of domains has increased their price. I am a namecheap customer and the email they sent out was equally as uninformative.
Every so often registries increase the wholesale price of domains. This isn’t something Namecheap has any control over.
