The wait is over: CAA record is supported by both our Basic and PremiumDNS packages!
What is this?
A Certification Authority Authorization (or CAA) is a type of DNS record that lets a domain owner specify which Certificate Authorities (or CAs) may issue their SSL certificates. Only those CAs selected may issue security certificates for that domain or subdomain.
Why is this a good thing?
Now that HTTPS has become the industry standard in site security, fraudulent attempts to issue certificates have become more common. To guard against this, major Certificate Authorities created the CAA record as a solution.
