EasyWP Now Supports Any Domain Name!
The wait is over. EasyWP, the best platform for WordPress and WordPress Hosting, now supports any domain name, whether it’s registered with Namecheap or not.
What does this mean for you?
Let’s say you previously purchased a domain name with another provider and you’d like to use this domain name for your new EasyWP website. Or perhaps you’re already an EasyWP customer and you’d like to use another domain name that’s not registered with Namecheap.
Whatever the reason, EasyWP is now ready and able to support any domain name, registered anywhere, with minimal effort required on your end.
The Mission Is Clear: EasyWP Continues to Democratize WordPress for All
At Namecheap, we’re tireless supporters of a free and open Internet, where everyone has the right to get their ideas online and be able to afford it.
Now that EasyWP supports any domain name, regardless of where it’s registered, this only further solidifies our mission to democratize WordPress. In other words? You don’t have to be a Namecheap domain customer to enjoy and experience the speed, reliability, and value EasyWP has to offer. Our doors are open, so feel free to come on in.
And because we built our very own cloud platform in-house, this means we’re able to provide you with all the service you’d expect from traditional WordPress Hosting, at a fraction of the price you’d pay elsewhere.
What’s the catch, you might ask? Absolutely nothing. We did the hard work ourselves so we could make managed WordPress work for you.
So, How Do I Use a Domain from Another Provider with EasyWP?
Once you’ve selected and purchased your preferred EasyWP Plan (Starter, Turbo or Supersonic), simply follow the login instructions in your Welcome Email to get your website up and running.
Keep in mind that unless you’re already using FreeDNS, you’ll need to use a temporary domain name, e.g. octopus-3abc4a.easywp.com, before you can use your registered domain name. In other words? After creating your EasyWP website, you’ll be able to use your domain name that’s registered with another provider.
To do so, just log in to your EasyWP dashboard in your browser and select the Overview tab.
From here, you’ll see your temporary domain name listed under Domain. In order to manage your domain name, simply click on the Manage button (highlighted here in green).
From the following list, now select the Domain on another registrar option. (Note that “domain name registrar” is just another way to say “domain name provider.”) Here you’ll type in or paste your registered domain name into the blank field:
Once you’ve entered your registered domain name, an ALIAS record gets generated for it. (In less-technical terms, this is what will allow users to be redirected to your website.)
And, in order to “point” your registered domain name to EasyWP, you’ll need to save this ALIAS record. So, “copy” it (see below in green) and make sure you have it handy. You’ll need to use it in a few moments.
Now open a new tab in your browser and type in the address of your domain registrar’s website, whichever one you used to register your domain name in the first place.
Remember that in order to point your domain name to EasyWP, you’ll need to set the ALIAS record with your domain registrar/provider:
- Log in to the account of your respective domain registrar/provider.
- Locate the DNS settings.
- Select the domain name you want to use with your EasyWP website and add the ALIAS record that you have copied from the EasyWP dashboard.
- Save the changes.
In order to check that your domain name is pointing to EasyWP, navigate back to EasyWP in your browser. Depending on your domain registrar, this setup process (aka domain propagation) can take some time so feel free to check back later on regarding the status.
If everything is successful, you’ll then be able to click on the Change button.
And voilà, your domain name registered with another provider is now with your EasyWP website.

I need to convert my Blogspot site into wordpress site, how can I get it?
To move your Blogspot (aka Blogger) site to WordPress, you should first set up your new WordPress site either using EasyWP or with one of our regular hosting plans. Once that’s ready to go, you simply need to export your blog from Blogspot and then import it into WordPress (that’s actually easier than it might sound!) and set up a redirect link from your old site to your new one.

Congrats EasyWP…
Gr8 add, I really wanna transfer my site to namecheap but I have one question
how can I get an offer if i want to buy 3 years hosting EasyWP Turbo cauz the current offer doesn’t fit with me ! Is there any way for a nice offer to transfer my site to namechaeap?
Thanks for your interest in EasyWP. You can purchase EasyWP hosting for a year by going to https://www.namecheap.com/wordpress/ and choosing the “Bill Yearly” option. We have a special introductory price for the first year. Although the annual renewal price is higher, it’s still a great deal for managed WordPress hosting, given that some of our competitors charge that much per month!
Well done! Was waiting for this to move a few websites from work to EasyWP.
Does this update eliminate the easywp subdomain url from showing in the address bar? I know that was a big concern for alot of people including myself.
Hi there! Sorry for the delay in responding, but I had to track down the correct information. A member of the EasyWP team told me that with this update, you can connect any domain name to EasyWP using a DNS record, and the EasyWP subdomain will no longer be shown. You will no longer need to use a redirect. Hope this helps!
tenho o dominio e a hospedagem no namescheap foi la onde criei o site.
If you need assistance with your EasyWP website, please reach out to our Customer Support team, who would be happy to assist you.
Your price is right, but If you want to compete with other sites, like FlyWheel, you need to add some features down the road such as excluding pages from cache and tweaking performance by customer request, staging and a CDN. I had to switch from Namecheap WP to FlyWheel for the cache issues I was having…
Thanks for the feedback. CDN is coming this year, and staging is on our roadmap but we don’t have a firm release date yet.
As far as your caching issues, we’re sorry that happened. We’re constantly developing our EasyWP product and we like to hear about any snags our customers run into because that allows us to improve EasyWP’s functionality and experience. Would you be willing to submit feedback from inside the EasyWP dashboard, with more details on how we could improve caching for you? If you no longer have access, you can also submit a ticket to our support team with details, and they can pass that information along to the EasyWP team.
